Situated between the lowlands of India and the magnificent Himalayas - Nepal is a gem of natural and cultural history. It is home to some 102 ethnic groups and castes conversing in nearly 120 languages and dialects.
This is where my son, Peter and I spent a month this spring, traveling to both remote areas and populated cities. There, I met and photographed the Nepalese people. Coming from different walks of life, their faces projected enlightenment or needfulness, curiosity or indifference, or simply joy.
Being allowed to photograph, I was offered a chance to come close and observe this culture in very personal way.
